Sons of the Forgotten follows Java and Adam, two young Black adults who refuse to abandon the struggling community that shaped them. Rather than escaping after finding their own measure of success, they choose to stay—using music, business, mentorship, and direct community involvement to help transform the lives around them.
Set within a neighborhood wrestling with addiction, poverty, fractured families, crime, and lost opportunity, the six-episode cinematic series follows their attempt to change what lies within their reach—one person, one family, and one block at a time. Their mission, however, brings them into contact with people and forces that do not necessarily want the neighborhood to change.

Java and Adam believe a neighborhood should not have to be abandoned in order for its people to succeed. From their spoken-word club and community outreach to the lives they touch on the streets around them, they begin building something intended to restore opportunity, responsibility, dignity, and hope.
But the neighborhood carries wounds that cannot be repaired overnight. Runaway teenagers, addiction, exploitation, struggling families, forgotten residents, and competing influences continually collide with their efforts.
As Java and Adam become more deeply involved, helping people comes with consequences—and their determination to change their community begins attracting resistance from those who benefit from keeping things exactly as they are.

Java is a determined young woman who has built a life around helping people others have learned to overlook. Strong-willed, compassionate, and fiercely protective of her community, she believes success means little if it cannot be used to improve the lives around her. Her willingness to help, however, increasingly places her own future at risk.
ADAM
Entrepreneur • Mentor • Voice of Reason
Adam shares Java's commitment to the neighborhood but often approaches its problems differently. Grounded and observant, he understands that lasting change requires more than good intentions. As their mission grows, Adam must balance protecting what they have built with their determination to reach people who have nearly given up on themselves.
